2024 National Research Conference for the Prevention of Firearm-Related Harms
December 9-11, 2024 | Seattle, WA

The 2024 National Research Conference for the Prevention of Firearm Related Harms will highlight the current state of science and research on firearm injury prevention across the lifespan. Organized by The Research Society for the Prevention of Firearm-Related Harms.

The conference is being co-organized by the University of Michigan Institute for Firearm-Injury Prevention and the Columbia Scientific Union for the Reduction of Gun Violence.

Observed annually on November 18th, National Injury Prevention Day (NIPD) is a vital social awareness campaign aimed at highlighting the alarming statistic that injuries are the leading cause of death and hospitalization for individuals aged 1 to 44.

As we celebrate the 5th anniversary of NIPD, we encourage communities to come together and shine a green light on the importance of injury and violence prevention. This initiative serves as a reminder of our collective responsibility to foster safer environments for everyone, enabling all to live, work, and play without the threat of injury. Join us in promoting awareness and advocating for strategies that can reduce preventable injuries and save lives.
